I first visited Kings Cross was in March 1959. I was on a projectionist course in Camden Town. After the evening meal I slipped down to Kings Cross. At that time of the year it was dark when I got there, so I did not get any photo's.

I returned in the summer of 1961 when I went on holiday with my brother. I can still remember coming up the stairs out of the underground, when a young lad passed us shouting, the Fox is on the Elizabethan platform 5. Trainspotting was limited to platform 8 so we did not get a picture. I managed to get access to the other platforms later on.
