When A4 Pacific 60015 Quicksilver came to the Canal everyone rushed to see her. Lets face it a 34A London Kings Cross engine, that's one for the book. The picture was taken in September 1962. She was withdrawn in the April of 1963. A Canal engine had failed at 64B Edinburgh Haymarket, and 60015 was available to come down to Carlisle for the one and only time.

J 39 64895 was one of the regular Silloth engines introduced in 1926. This April 1963 picture shows her withdrawn, the coupling rods have been removed.
